Job Description
The Senior Social Media Manager is a leadership role responsible for leading our social media team while driving strategic success for our clients. This position sets the standard for excellence by mentoring team members, leading client relationships, and developing social media strategies that deliver measurable results.
The ideal candidate is a confident leader who enjoys developing people, solving challenges, and building strong client partnerships while ensuring every project is executed with creativity, consistency, and accountability.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop Social Media Managers through coaching, feedback, and training.
- Set the standard for strategic thinking, client service, and creative excellence across the social media team.
- Foster collaboration and support team members in solving challenges and growing their skills.
Client Strategy & Leadership
- Serve as the strategic lead for assigned client accounts, building trusted relationships and providing proactive recommendations.
- Develop multi-platform social media strategies aligned with client goals and business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for growth, new campaigns, and performance improvements.
Content & Creative Strategy
- Guide content strategy across all social platforms, ensuring content is engaging, on-brand, and optimized for each channel.
- Partner with design and video teams to develop high-performing creative campaigns.
- Maintain quality, consistency, and brand voice across all social media content.
Paid Social Strategy
- Lead paid social strategy across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X.
- Analyze campaign performance, optimize results, and develop testing strategies.
- Mentor team members on paid social best practices and platform capabilities.
Analytics & Performance
- Present performance reports that translate data into actionable business insights.
- Use analytics to guide future content, creative, and advertising decisions.
- Monitor industry trends and platform updates to keep clients ahead of the curve.
Reputation Management & Local SEO
- Partner closely with the Community & Reputation Manager to align social media, reputation management, and local SEO strategies.
- Collaborate on proactive and reactive communication to ensure a consistent brand voice and positive customer experience across all digital touchpoints.
- Identify trends and insights from community feedback to inform content strategy and improve client performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in social media marketing or digital marketing, preferably in an agency environment.
- Proven experience developing and leading multi-platform social media strategies for multiple clients.
- Strong understanding of best practices across Meta, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X.
- Experience planning, executing, and optimizing paid social campaigns.
- Ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading team members.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with creative, video, and reputation management teams.
- Experience with Google Business Profiles, local SEO, and reputation management is a plus.
- Experience with video content strategy or creative direction is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred.

What you’ll actually be doing (aka: real-world design):
- Design content for real clients that actually gets used
- Help bring our social content to life with bold, scroll-stopping visuals
- Learn how to apply brand guidelines across different platforms and formats
- Work with the team to turn rough ideas into polished final products
- Get feedback, give feedback, and grow your creative skills
What we are looking for:
- A college student who’s design-obsessed
- You’ve got a sharp eye and a soft spot for good fonts
- You’re comfy with Adobe Creative Suite (or eager to get there)
- You’re curious about design and how it fits into the bigger marketing picture
- You love learning, trying new tools, and collaborating with a team
